how much lactol should i give a 2 day old pup each meal, weighs about 5oz, i'm needing to supplement feed as she had a large litter, also if you mix a 1/2 pint up, stored in the fridge can you reheat it as you need it?
thanks

Can anyone help the guest with this? I know a few members have had to hand rear pups

Hi Guest

I worked it out from the directions off the Lactol tin, that for every 4oz of puppy weight an average puppy should consume around 20mls of milk formula per day. You can make up enough formula for no longer than 24hrs, kept in the fridge, what I do is syringe out the required amount per puppy into their bottles and then stand the bottle in boiled water to get blood temp then feed the pup.
Its a long hard slog, but it will be worth it in the end, please register so we can find out how the little guys are doing.
Best of luck

Karen
