my yorkie has had a soft poo since yesterday ..not diarrhoea ie :she is not going ever minute..when she goes it is not firm and solid like when I got her a couple weeks ago..should I take her to the vet ? is this normal she is on plain old purina puppy and chews her chewy shoe ..she is eating well..drinking playing..everything normal..am I missing something?

if you have just wormed her it could be that and should pass in a couple of days

My pup sometimes has soft stool as well. I do not worry about it. I expect it has to do with the type of extra tidbits she has had (and perhaps the odd piece of goodness knows what she consumes during our walks that I do not manage to get out of her mouth) as well as the fact that she is teething.

If I see soft stools too often I cut back on the extra tidbits and that seens to fix the problem.

yesterday I started feeding her much less and today for the first time she had a firm stool...her face always blocks the bowl waiting for food and I think she was getting a little too much each feed ..too much fibre !!!fingers crossed...
