Hi Feddie
IMHO you need to teach your pup that this is unacceptable . It is common for pups to bite and growl but they need to be taught that it will not be tolerated after all those puppy teeth hurt!!!
When he bites or growls I would tell him no in a very deep stern voice and stop any contact with him.If neccesary remove him from the room .He will soon learn.

Hi,

I had this problem majorly until my pup was about 4 months, and I found that giving him a 'time out' in another room to calm down works the best. I didn't drag him there or call him, just picked him up and carried him there without saying anything. Sometimes he would have calmed down after 10 minutes, sometimes it took longer. However, at 5 months, it has completely stopped (for now)!!!!

I have been given some advice from an American web site that has worked well with my 14 week Old Newf.I'd rather not post it on here as i dont think many would aprove , but feel free to send me a private email and ill gladly tell you.It may or may not worke, but has deterred our little Devil dog somewhat!

Besides saying "NO!!" or removing to another room you could try simply having a toy to hand and when pup tries to bite offer the toy. This has worked with pup as he stops and reaches for his toy which he can chew all he likes !!
