Hi,

My pup had a touch of 'the runs' (can't spell the proper word!!) this morning and I want to cook him some chicken and rice tonight, but I was wondering how to cook the chicken?? Can anyone help.....

Thanks
Nicola :D

hi there -you could cut it up and boil it with the rice or steam it over the rice
I usually do the first :)

I tend to boil a chicken breast for about fifteen minutes. It's also worth considering giving your pup a little live yoghurt, like Actimel or Yakult, to balance the system. It has worked when my bc pup was just a little loose. And mashed potato works well too. Good luck.

Thanks for your replies, looks like boiling is the way to go! I am due to go to training class tonight, do you think I should leave him at home if he is still a bit down? Also, how much yoghurt, and is it ok to give him a bit everyday?

Thanks
Nicola

Hi
just a tablespoon of yoghurt -There are alot of nasty bugs going around at the moment so if he's a little off side I think I would be keeping him at home ( he will be more susseptable at the moment )
