Topic Dog Boards / Health / Toilet problems or not?

Hi, my 14 week old lab puppy has recently been doing number 2's which seems to be a little runny. We have tried giving him egg white and yesterday gave him his worm tablet but it still seems the same. His personality has not changed though, still mad as usual so i was wondering if his toilet change was due to him needing to be wormed or could it be something else?. ( when i say runny, it isn't that bad but it is not as solid as usual.

Sorry to talk about such a awful subject.

Do u give him lots of treats? Try just giving him only his food for awhile and nothing else that may help. I even use their own food as treats and mine do not mind.
If it's still runny u could try some keopectate to help make him more firm, but I would definately talk to ur vet first before giving him any and find out how much. This is what I give mine if they had the runs for 24hrs.
I'm sure someone else will be along to help u more.

ttfn :)

Thank you for your advice. It may well be the treats as he has a few whilst training and at puppy classes on a friday night!. I will try stopping now for a few days to see if it helps and will treat him with his own food!!!

Darren
did he have a change of food prior to this as sometimes this can be a cause.
Also as you say , when we took pup along to training class everyone had different treats which they were dishing out so maybe this could have caused it too ( although pup thought all the different treats were great !)
