Hi, Some Open shows have Import Reg. classes but not many :-( We have shown our Bordeaux at champ and open but there are other import breeds that tend to nearly always be placed before the Bordeaux (usually the Russian Black Terriers). That is the problem with Import Classes you are aginst other breeds in the group that are on the register. Will be much better when and if they get their own class.

As the other person has put you can only go into import register classes and not many open shows do them.
Be prepared to wait a long time to be taken off the import register, it took your breed long enough to even be registered as one.
Good luck in showing and you never know I may come across you at some time, although Spanish Water Dogs aren't usually shown on the same days.
I have Tibetan Mastiff 's along with the bordeaux, we are still classed as rare breeds with the t.m.'s even though I have been showing them since 1986. There are more dogue de bordeaux's in this country than t.m.'s, after all this time. I do not know how the kennel club work out what time and when numbers warrant a change of classification
