I came across some questions regarding dogs that looked like a white Golden Retriever. A lady by the name of Amy was looking for the answer. She said she saw what looked like white Golden Retrievers. She left an email but I could not get it to work when I tried to email her. There were people that replied to her that suggested that the Maremma Sheepdog or Hungarian Kuvasz could have been the dogs that she saw. My guess is that the dog she saw was the Polish Tatra Sheepdog. Amy, if you are out there, check out sites and photos of this dog. They do in fact look like white Golden Retrievers. They are a little larger than most, but not all Goldens. Best of luck on your search.

I would say the Polski Owczarek Podhalanski (Tatran sheepdog) would not easily be mistaken for a Golden, as they are nearly as large as a Pyrynean Mountain dog. Also as far as I know they are very little known outside of Poland or the former Eastern Bloc countries, and certainly not be seen in England.

They are a lovely dog though, I have pictures that I can scan from the show in Poland I saw them at.
