Hi
some of you are probably aware that I an interested in buying a crate.
We do not have alot of large pet stores close by ( for some reason ) and I was wondering does anybody know of any that can be bought over the net that they would recommend ?
Obviously you cannot see the quality before you buy which puts me off the idea alittle . I want a good quality , with a metal tray and one that isnt too heavy for use in the car . I dont mind paying for quality but as I say I would prefer recommendations from those that have bought one .
all help much appreciated :)

Hi Lel

The weekly dog papers also have adverts for crates at the back of them (Dog World, Our Dogs)

I have 3 crates we bought ours from Argos, £38-75p each, they are approx 60cms ( 24 inches) x 76cms (30 inches) x 53cms(20 inches) roughly worked out inches, depends on what size dogs you have , but ours have plastic trays i have chihuahuas.

I bought two here: http://homepages.enterprise.net/stocknut00000/stocknut00000/myco.htm and they are very sturdy & excellent value.
Oh, and postage & free bedding are included in the prices quoted !

:) Thanks for your kind comment LEL, they really are great little pups & have settled in very well with us.

Hope you get your cage sorted I have joined the two cages I bought together meantime with "tie wraps" to give the puppies a bigger space to call their own & it's worked well.

Hi Lel

I got my crate from Croft Kennels. I have no experience of other types of crate so have nothing to compare it with but am more than happy with the one I have got. It is called a Showman Folding Kennel and has a metal tray. You can find them at www.croft-kennels.co.uk (sorry don't know how to do links). Am not sure how much they charge for carriage as my Morgan's breeder picked one up for me at a show. The size you are looking for costs £49.50.

I would go tor a 24inch wide x 36inch long x 27 inch high model. This suits my Elkhounds generously (a 21 x 30 x 27 would have done). I now have the next size up so that two can fit in when away from home.
