hi i hope you can help.after 10 years i have finally said yes to my son having a dog. he is 15 and very responsible(yes i know 15 yrs old n male doesn't usually equal responsible) he likes red setters, labradors n dalmations. after waiting so long n me giving him loads of help can u help me by telling me which are the easiest to train. he wants a loyal dog (me too) i want an easy to train one .i can do the exercise bit, feeding bit just need a bit of direction from experts. thanx

Guest, it would be helpful if you could register with the forum (which is free) so the posters can ask any necessary questions.
One thought, though, with a 15 year-old, is that he has a lot of changes coming up in the next few years. Are you prepared for the dog to be with you if he's off at college/university, out enjoying himself, left home and living in a flat he can't have a dog in, etc.?

After growing up in a dalmation household, i would advise that dalmations are only for the more experienced of dog owners. They are very, very energetic dogs. If you haven't owned a dog before, then you need to look into the different breeds more carefully before making a final decision. Don't let your son pick out a dog just because he likes the look of it.
