Is there an on line data base for Labs?
In dogs world the other week it gave an address where a data base
is held for dogs and pedigrees. So that people can go and check back
the lines. I dont have it now as I threw it away. But someone else
may have the address.
It can prove very interesting when looking back.
Good luck, but I cant be much more help than that. Except do
the Labrador clubs hold records. As I know with our breed a certain
man has breed records going back to when Weimaraners can into the
country. So there for maybe someone has a private data base of labs.
Get in touch with the breeds club secretary and ask.

Try doing a search on Google for dogs in the pedigree. There is a vast amount of info on the net about Labs, it only needs finding. If you post some of the dogs on the back line of your pedigree on here I might be able to give you some info. Although I have really only bothered to trace my own dogs back it's amazing how various lines tie in.

Thats a point Archer had assumed he was, but may be not. Difficult if not. Jackie
I too got interested in my labs breeding and started going back... and back... and back... got to 1870something

It's SOOOoo interesting seeing all the lines and also seeing which dogs are predominant.
I stated by googling.. then came across this site which has a fantastic database, full marks to the makers of it.

Was looking through an old Breed Record Suppliment this morning, (It's pouring with rain!) and came across the Crowlands Affix. It belongs to a Mr and Mrs D J and Miss J C Mills.
