Please can someone advise?
I have just got a new staffie puppy, who has been with us a week - now 9 weeks old. I did have staffies as a kid, but have lost touch with what a handful pups are.
She is very cute, but already incredibly strong - she is of the long legged variety. I know all puppies play bite, but now suffering multiple little scars on my hands and legs and having spent a few quid on books - I wonder if anyone can offer some practical advice who actually owns a staffie. Even just to know its perfectly normal and she will calm down when she's older. My distant memories of my last dog were of a loyal cuddly friend, not this nipping and jumping monster - who seems to bite harder when using techniques offered in the books.
I am doing all this new age technique of pack leader regime, and keeping her off the sofa etc.

Hi , in our family, between us we have 3 Staffies - and all of them have responded to us yelping loudly when we are nipped. and if that fails, putting the puppy away from us, not playing any more.
Staffies are great are'nt they?
