
What is his show record? To be a useful stud (to the further good of the breed) he must be very good example, and as close as possible to the breed standard. If you've shown him a few times and he's come nowhere, then forget about studding him and enjoy him as a pet!
Contact his breeder to see if they think he's good enough to use at stud (just because his parents were champions doesn't necessarily mean he's suitable!). And remember that if you do use him at stud that you have as much responsibility to provide back-up to the puppies owners as does the bitch's owner!! It takes 2 to tango!
