Has any body experienced their dog chasing and jumping at shadows, I am getting a bit worried about our 3 springers.
One has been diagnosed with retinal dysplasia and he does this because of his sight problems but lately his litter brother who incidently has also been checked but was clear, but he is starting to copy his brother and jump at shadows and when they do it they seem to be in some kind of trance so its hard to break them of it. They are 8 months old.
Our third springer who is only 12 weeks has also started to chase shadows is this normal I have had springers all my life but have never experienced this kind of behaviour before.
All our other springers were bitches so maybe its a boy thing, but it is odd when they do it.

Every dog and cat I've ever owned has chased shadows or the all time favourite, the watch refection on the wall :) I would think it's normal providing there aren't any other symptoms that would suggest something sinister.
