Cru'Ella suffers an awfull lot from hiccups.I dont remember any of my other dogs suffering....is it normal or should i be worried?
Briefly , it IS mainly after eating~and we try to make her rest after eating~she tends to come alive and want to play.WE DONT LET HER! i know how serious Bloat can be!
but its not allways after excercise or eating.
Strange?normal?worrying?
Any advice greatfully recieved

Hi Zoe - I think it's fairly normal. My Boxer pup is now 8 months old (today infact) and he was always getting them up to being about 6 months old. My friends Bullmastiff was the same. I wouldn't worry too much

MAYBE ITS A NEWF THING!!
ive just done some training with her , she really is the funniest thing!when she see's the cup come out the fridge ( i keep her treats in a cup in fridge) she immediatly does her whole repitoir ( sp?)! she sits, speaks, paws the air and lays down before the fridge door is even shut!
Funnily enough i was told Newf's are slow learners.I havent found that so far.
I didnt know you had Newfs ILOVEDOGS.What sex/age/color??

I was worried about the very same thing with my pup . Our last dog never seem to suffer ( it was a long time ago admittedly ) but pup always seem to get them - even sometimes when he hasnt eaten too .
Glad to see that lots of others are the same !

Hi Zoe,
I have four of the wonderful creatures and two GSD I rescured.
Brown Bitch, Aged 6 called Rosie, Brown Boy Aged 5 Called Hudson, Black Bitch Aged 5 (from same litter as Hudson) called Storm and My baby Lanseer, aged 22 months called Pip (after my daughters Favourite book, Pip The Pig) and my two GSD came togeather, we think they are about 4 & 5, last family died in a car accident :( they had to be rehoused togeather and they had been at the rescure centre for a while, when they called me, and as soon as I saw them that was it, they are Sam and Molly and they run rings around all my Newfs.
So thats my furry family history!!!
Best Wishes

Hi Zoe!!
My 6 month old lab has just stopped having spasams of the hiccups. I think it was completely normal. They would stop after a while. It sounds like they all grow out of it sooner or later. I myself think it's kinds cute!!! :)
Take Care
