Can anyone help please! Looking after my daughter's Staffordshire Terrier but he hhas a strong 'doggy' odour all the time. She baths him all the time and still I can smell him - smells extremely oily and doggy. Can anyone please advise.
Thank you

For one thing, cut out the bathing! What happens is that she washes the natural oils out of the coat and then the body goes into overtime producing the oils all over again! I only bath mine two or three times a year although they do swim occasionally. (But of course although that might float the dirt off there are no deturgents or soap to wash the oil out)

John advice is sound and agree 100 %. What kind of food does he get and have you tried to change his diet? Some of my dogs do not respond well to certain food and develop a strong smell.

Yes, cut out the bathing! One of my dogs (mainly white, with a similar smooth, short coat to your staffy) is now 3 1/2 and has NEVER BEEN BATHED! He is entire, and doesn't smell at all. Mud dries, and simply falls off his coat when I brush him, because it still has all the protective oils. His skin is fantastic - no dandruff/scurf or itchiness. My vet reckons he's the best anti-advert for shampoo that she's ever come across!

HI, i've got westies and I dont bathe mine often either, and they are white, so get really dirty at times, I used Johnstons Dry Foam shampoo and find this is very good, just rub it into the coat and when its dry brush out, leaves the dogs smelling nice and clean.

I would suggest Garlic capsules they will cleanse from within as well the other advice you have been given
