Not much
Pray for snow, open prezzies, breakfast, put in dinner, watch vids, eat ourselves silly, take girls out for stroll in woods, relax by candlelight ;)
It would be the same at 'home' except add church and parental participation :)

My christmas day is postponed until boxing day. I am on-call on christmas eve, so cannot drink or go out incase I'm called. Then I'm working christmas day from 1pm to 9.15pm so won't feel like eating either before or after. I'm working boxing day from 7.15am to 2.15pm so hopefully our festive meal will be prepared by hubby, daughter and son for me to enjoy once I get home. Also working all day on 27th, but OFF for the weekend - yippee :) :) :)
Lorna
ps. happy christmas everyone
But Lorna you do a wonderful job have you got many xmas babies due?

Lorna,
That is awful,
If I ever get to parliment :-) you will not work on Xmas again.
It is morally wrong for employers to make people work on Xmas day. ( Nobody jump on me please
IMHO)
I have been lucky and always insist on Xmas eve, Xmas day and Boxing day.
I'll pull a cracker for you :-) and a extra dollop of pudding ( as if I need an excuse)
Pam
Edited to add: Lorna ignore me are you a nurse. that would be nice at Xmas to. So youu can work it if you like :-)
midwife - so don't really mind working, a chrismas baby is always special (aren't they all), its always a nice atmosphere, the sally army come into hospital to sing, there's loads of choccies around and great bonus - the roads on christmas day are empty.

Lorna,
That sounds really nice , think I would like that to. :-)
My 12.5 year old daughter wants to be a midwife and has since she was a little girl so we shall see.
I have a lot of respect for nurses..

Hi all,
Well I am super excited as I finish today..2 weks yipeee I have had a busy year this year between work and Uni I can tell you.
I normally have everyone for Xmas dinner as both hubby and I enjoy all the cooking and fuss.
We decided this year to just have my mum and dad as we both need a rest and I never get to see
the Xmas telly, yes it is generally repeats but Xmas would not be Xmas without them so will be trying
to get dinner as prepared as possible on Xmas eve and join all of you watching the TV and of course
the Xmas day crispy walks. They are always great.
I always do a bit of Xmas baking etc as I have so little time during the year for all of that.
2 whole weeks with my dogs also , I miss then when I am at work.
I guess nothing exciting and much of the same as the rest of you but can't wait.. I am a kid.
Going to see Santa clause 2 tonight..

We'll be getting up- phoning my parents to nip up and watch the kids open the pressies:)
Build up the pressies (sad I know and I also know that I could do that the night before- but it's tradition;))
Going to parents for dinner- followed by walking Kassie while the kids enjoy a ride on their new bikes:D
It's going to be great- a lady (36 yr old) I work with her husband's ran off 6 mth ago- with a 19 year old:( he's not supporting her in any way shape or form- so she's having Shannons old bike spruced up a bit for her Daughter- since we got Shannons bike out to touch it up a bit paint wise- she asked what we were doing- we've told her it's incase any of her friends get bikes for christmas- then her's will look good too- she doesn't have a clue that they're both getting new bikes:D :D
Playing some more and watching TV in the afternoon- then putting the kids to bed and feeling chuffed happy and content at such a nice Christmas:)
I was actually wondering if anyone will come on here on Christmas day- I probably will at some point- probably the evening/night when the kids are in bed:)
Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone:)

We will have a very quiet day. Gus is working during the day, then we are both on call :(.
I shall spend the day either online or playing with my new playstation game, that I hope I will be getting :D :D :D

'waking up before the children'.
I take my hat off to you. The only way we could wake up before the children is not to go to bed at all! I think we got about three and a half hours' sleep last year.
(little man with mouth down, if I could do one).

Wellll ..maybe not strictly accurate ..but neither of my sproggies would DARE to make any noise or to get out of bed for anything except the necessary before I had called them ...on Christmas day or any other day for that matter ;)
Melody
If you look at the HELP button at the top here ..you will find out how to do the smilies :D

;) :)
Well my xmas is as follows......
Big boozy party xmas eve - wahey :D
Up early with the kids - not so wahey especially with a hangover.
Open pressies
Cook xmas dinner.
Kids going off with their dad to see grandparents - wahey again - quiet afternoon to booze some more and play with their pressies - lol
Fairly early night
Up early again boxing day - cooking xmas dinner again for my mum and dad and family.
Open pressies again
Have a bog blowout tea and lots of booze
Fight, argue and generally fall out till very very late.
So I've got 2 xmas dinners to cook, and prepare for, but i do get a party and a quiet afternoon - not sure if they outweight each other but hey it's xmas lol

Hi all great replies.. It doesn't matter what we all do it is a great day isn't it.. Hope everyone of you have a great time. Make the most of it and appricate all around you. ( even the in laws or ones who bug you) :-)
Pam
Our arrangements have changed three times already. Originally it was just going to be the 2 of us and the dogs. Then our friends asked us to come for Christmas lunch (total of 4 adults and 7 dogs).
Then we had to put things on hold 'cos of illness of 1 of the adults and 2 of the dogs.
So it looks like we're back to the original plan ! :)
But just want to say happy Christmas to all Champdoggers and hope you all have a great 2003.

I want to change my post to..............NOTHING:o! Hopefully that's what I'll be doing Christmas day. I am exhausted with the whole thing now- I had four people left to buy for- but was waiting for shops to have their deliveries at the weekend- I've since been and bought my Mum a Celtic Gold Bracelet:) and my Dad a coat from Millets- Sean's just tried it on and the Medium is too small:( I bought Medium because Sean's about the same size and build as my Dad and his was a Medium but the one I've just got is too small - so I need to pop out tomorrow morning and try getting him a large:rolleyes: I don't have a clue what to get if they don't have a large:( And to top it all off- I did my shopping at Tesco's last night- at midnight:o So I probably won't wake up on Christmas morning:o
Anyone else feeling the pressure of Christmas:(

Hopefully a lie-in, then tea in bed with Chewi ripping up paper to see what he has. Then clearing up said ripped paper and having breakfast (full english - yummy) and opening our presents (probably with help).
Taking Chewi for special walk on ranges, coming back for proper tea (in a pot).
Cooking.
Eating and drinking.
More clearing up and washing up.
More drinking.
Bed (yawn)
Jean
