hi
I have just bought a K.C dog of a reputable breeder , she is only 16 months old , I took her to be checked over by the vet and he advised me that she has already had a litter of pups before ,(which I was not told )If this is the case she hasnt even been a year old .Are breeders able to do this and still be classed as reputable.

can i just ask your reasons for buying the bitch? was she advertised ? im just wondering what reasons the breeders gave for her being at this late an age to "sell" her.

It could be she had been rescued by her breeder, or been mismated. Unless she had a litter recently, I would be surprised that a vet could tell if dhe had been bred from before?
