These dogs must be rare but I am not a dog expert and would like an answer as to the value of this dog - he is a wonderful and beautiful pet and very healthy.

The Mexiacan Hairless, and the Chihuaua are two different breeds, if yours is a cross of the two, then it is a crossvreed.

As to value, well bred puppies of any breed tend to have a going rate, often allied to the cost of feeding and rearing, and the relative litter size and difficulty of rearing them. This often means that large breeds cost more than small, but then tiny breeds are often the same price as Medium size breeds, as only a few are born in a litter, but costs still the same for Vet fees, Stud fees etc.

Olser dogs on the other hand who are looking for new homes, are usually a lot less, a bit like a second hand car :) Unless of course the dog has proved itself to be superior in some way (A champion in show or field, or fantastic sheepdog/Police dog), and therefore has a value to the would be buyer or seller over and above what you would pay for a puppy.
