Christine, if you are at LKA see Irvin on the Countrymun stand, tell him I sent you!!! :D Failing that visit him at countrymun.com, he know all there is about dog-boots & has a huge range.

I found some at my local petshop - did not think of looking there initially but as my girl needs to go out I thought I had better find some asap

Thanks Sam and Emma for your suggestions

I use boots from Proactive Paws Dog Boots who can be found at www.dogbootsactive.com. They do a range of boots and their prices I find are quite competitive, they are quite quick with delivery times as well.

Canine Chemists have several different types of dog boots, all available by mail order. Just type Canine Chemists into your search engine and it should get you there. :)

I also think www.dogbootsactive.com are brilliant, simply measure your dogs foot on the printout, email your requirements and we received ours within 5 days. My Honey is forever cutting her pads on the stony paths where we walk - she can be a tad mad! - and they have been a godsend, luckily they also fit my older dog too!

We used boots called "Wet Walkers" based in the uk you should be able to find on the net - sorry I cant remember exactly where but they were for our previous Boxer dog now passed away. He had a neurological problem which affected his balance so he scuffed his back feet. These boots were brilliant - they are made from Neoprene (think thats how its spelt) basically wet suit material with a rubber sole shaped to the dogs foot.

Good luck & if I can remember where they are based I will let you know.

Hi Sasha

I tried a pair of the Walkers boots and they were very good except for the leather on the soles wore though at the first wearing but the Neoprene lasted for nearly a week only leaking for the last couple of days but at least her feet remained clean.

I then tried Mikki boots - Useless!! First wearing resulted in wet feet and the second they both came off, one I found quite quickly and the other Maverick brought me a few days later.

How long ago did you try the Wet Walkers as we used them up until early this year and the soles were made of rubber - very thick like tyre rubber. OUr dog scuffed a lot and they lasted quite well.

christine,

Curious - why does she need to keep her feet dry.

Harry wants to keep his dry and so piddles on carpet instead of going out in rain. LOL - the little monkey

Hi

I tried the boots the day after I first posted. She had a problem with her pads and although the vet does not really have any idea what is causing it he suggested trying to keep her dry in case the wet was exacerbating the problem.
