Okay ......... so we are not attending the LKA, instead :D :D............Gus has said that we will buy an engagement ring tomorrow:D :D This I must admit is not the first ring I have had from Gus, as we originally got engaged in Cyprus about 8 years ago but,....... a couple of the stones became loose, and they were lost:( :(
So maybe, someday I will be Mrs................ first time married at 46, is this a record????

So long since I lived in Aberdeen that I have no idea which is the best hotel there now :(
Used to like that hotel opposite the bridge in Ellon, but I'm d****d if I can remember the name of it! :(

Friday the 13th is a good day :)
I like that day, not superstitious (sp) at all
Big congrats to you :) :) :)
Snorri,
Was the Hotel called the New Inn ??

Ah. When I asked Al, he said that it would be the Marcliffe. As I'm hardly ever out that way, it didn't occur to me. ;)
Was it good?
Olive Tree was overpriced, service was awful and food was distinctly average. I had a better and cheaper meal at the Foyer on Friday.
Yes, the meal was great and of course you get treated very well. I don't mind paying (or I don't mind spending Gus's money :D :D)if the food and service is as good or better than expected. Sorry your meal was not that good.......but one off our list :) :)

Meal at Foyer was excellent and the vegeterian options looked good. :)
Hi,
We are just back in after a very congenial meal. I love the Marcliffe on special occasions........:) unless you have loads of dosh:D :D
Hope you had a good meal 9thM..................by the way is the Olive Tree vegetarian ?

Advice given to me from army wives , empty all paper money out of your partners pockets whenever they come home drunk, leaving only the copper. It isn't too long before you can buy your own rings...oh,and always claim you need more housekeeping than you really do.
Who says romance is dead?:D
No ring today, (because of by on going posting in Health) pick it up tomorrow
