Can someone help me. I have a 2 year old Rottie male, I have just had him 6 months, he came to me with what I thought was excema on his ear flap, WRONG, he was actually scratching due to something ie mites or an infection in his ear, got that sorted, but after that one he stared on the other one, this has now been going on for 6 months, we have tried Thornit which is really good, vets have given him antibiotics cream etc, he is crying when he is scratching it, vet can come up with nothing, inside his ear flap its covered in sores with him scratching, I have changed him onto barf, thinking that it could be additives in dog food that were reacting with him, I am at a total loss to know where to go from here, BY THE WAY his ears have been a constant problem to his previous owners for the last 12 months

Consult another vet, I have experience of changing vets and believe me they are not all the same, some are more skilled than others.

I have been having the same trouble with my Bulldog...have spent Loads of money on his ears even surgery to remove scar tissue which devloped due to all the scratching and infections he has been wearing a cone for a year now and the minute I take cone off he is franticlly digging at that ear..put the cone back on and he is fine....Go figure!!!
