CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS ? OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS MY DOGS NOSE HAS CHANGED FROM BLACK TO PINK JUST INBETWEEN HIS NOSTRILS, I AM ASSUMING THIS IS NOT A FESTIVE THING ALTHOUGH SOMEONE DID TELL ME IT COULD BE TO DO WITH THE COLD WEATHER???? HE IS TWO YEARS OLD AND FIT AND WELL OTHERWISE,HIS NOSE IS WET AND SEEMS PERFECTLY NORMAL IN EVERY OTHER WAY.DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT CAUSES THIS AND IS A TRIP TO THE VETS IN ORDER?
THANK YOU IN ANTICIPATION OF YOUR REPLIES XXXX

'snow nose' is common in siberian huskies and is nothing to worry about it is perfectly natural.... I cant vouch for other breeds though I would expect that any kind of sled-dog breed would also be able to have this change in colouration to their nose....

Hi my golden retriever used to get it (we called it winter nose) once it started to get colder, and my two spaniels noses go lighter too (they both have liver coloured noses) I have always assumed it is a seasonal thing, although someone once told me their lab's nose went pinker if she was in season, (so maybe its hormonal too) Julie:)

My siberian husky bitch gets a snow nose/streaked nose in the colder months, which is acceptable in the breed standerd for huskies not sure about other dogs though

Hi,
A few of my Pekes get this, their noses go pink in the winter months and start darkening again in April.

This is very common, especially in Arctic breeds
My Samoyeds and Malamute get this seasonally!
