Hi everyone
Ihave just received an email from a gentleman very concerned about his GSD she has been diagnosed with the above condition, he states that she has been on antibiotics and steroids for 3 weeks now with no improvement. I dont know that much about this disease, can anyone help with suggestions etc on how best to treat or feed a dog with this help will be greatly appreciated

Hi Tracy, I lost a dog earlier this year from something that never had a name put on it but was probably a form of inflammatory bowel disease. Leigh's dog had something that sounded similar so I wrote her a long e-mail. Not sure if it would be relevant to your friend's GSD but can copy it to you if you'd like a read through?

Hi,
Not that I know anything about this particular breed, I know that diet plays a very important role in the management of this disease.
This site may be of help for the gentleman concerned.

I can also give you a diet from Dr Jean Dodds if you will feel it would help.
