I have two children who want a King Charles spanniel. This will be our first dog. Do breeders ever sell puppys they cannot home at a reduced rate? as I have made some enquiries and am shocked at the price.

First of all how old are your kids and do you want this pup as if they follow pattern for a lot of kids you will do a fair bit of the work.
As to price you get what you pay for and cheap isn't always good, expense has only just begun with buying a pup, vet costs, food, boarding when you go on holiday, the list is endless.
Don't mean to sound negative but it is better to think about these things now than have rows and heartbreak later. If you have thought about these points if you register people can give you more help
