Topic Dog Boards / General / Exercise

Hi there
I know that this topic has come up before and I have done a search and know that a fully grown cocker can take as much exercise as you are willing to give him but I wondered if anyone could give me a rough guide to exercising a six month old pup. Morgan gets a half hour walk in the morning, a run round the garden at lunchtime and fifteen minute walk at night. We live on a croft so the garden is 1/2 acre. I have plenty of time for walking but do not want to hamper his growth in any way. Is he getting too much exercise? and When will he be ready for really long walks?
All advice gratefully accepted.
Thanks in advance.
Shirley
P.S. Sorry if this topic is old hat!

Sounds about right to me for a youngster. A lot of people seem to think dogs need to run for miles and miles to have a happy, healthy life. I personally don't think that's the case.
