our Wheaten gets sores on her skin from licking. She is on a lamb and rice diet. What can we do?

get some metanium nappy rash cream from the chemist, rub gently on affected area, dog will not lick this as it tastes unpleasant, will not rub off easily, therefore the sore will heal, tried and tested on my own dog and has worked.

Where on her body does she lick? If it is near the back end check her anal glands as dogs will lidk the nearest place that they can reach if they cant get to the gland itself. I am a huge fan of tea tree oil used first to clean the area and then calendula as it promotes healing also an anti histamine to take the itch away. Another thing, is she bored? My staffs lick thier feet when bored or they want to make a point. Hopr this helps jo
