We live in Washington state in the United States. I am a retired teacher and my husband had a stroke so we are now raising Airedale Terriers and Welsh Terriers. We would like to import a male Welsh Terrier Puppy for a future sire. We have two sires already but we want to replace one with a quality one from UK that is by a Champion Sire and a Champion Dam. We can't pay a lot of money for one as we have had lots of medical bill to pay in the last couple of years. We treat our dogs great and we have a nice kennls built up so this puppy would have excellent living conditions. I have written to 17 people that were listed as breeders, only two wrote back and said they didn't have any puppies. Please post this message so maybe someone might see it who it would know who I could get in touch with to buy a puppy. Kenny and Brenda Smith (509) 826-6978 kennys@bossig.com

I'm sorry guest - but if you are wanting a quality dog you have to be willing to pay the price for it. Having a Champ Sire and Champ Dam does not mean that it will be a quality stud for you. The match has to be right - not the titles.
You need to have the financial stability to be able to support your dogs and if, sad as it may be, you have had hefty medical bills and ongoing health problems - then I think you need to look at your situation to see if you are in a position to be doing what you want to do. Stud dog owners have an ongoing responsibilty to their dogs - stud's are not an income generator.

Nor is a pup from champion parents automatically good enough in itself to be a prepotent sire. Are your current males old that you wish to replace one of them?
