Quite often peoples phone numbers, names and towns/affixes/breeds are given out on this list - would it be a better idea to give phone numbers privately UNLESS they appear on the breeders list as not everyone wants their details publicly printed?

if the breeder allows their phone number to be printed in a show catalogue then its available to anybody,we now have the option to withold our number so if this option is not taken i feel its probably ok to assume they dont mind it the number going public, hope im right as i've given a reply to a page looking for breeders of a certain coloured pup.

Dizzy, unless it's a public number eg a Vet or business, then I do it the other way around. I contact the "sought after person" and advise them that Jane Bloggs has left a message trying to contact them - would they like to contact her! It's occasionally greeted with "Why the * * didn't you give out my number?" but then it's their choice.
