We have a 6 mth old male weimaraner puppy who is a delight, but having problems trying to find a suitable diet for him.

I understanding that this breed can suffer with delicate stomachs - although always very willing to eat!. We feed him three times a day on an organic lamb & rice dried food, but it seem to be passing through him as quick as he can eat it.

He is on the skinny side (ribs showing) and quite small in size, (although he was the smallest dog in his litter), we also have an issue with him eating my Golden Retreivers faeces. We have not seen a vet, as in all other ways seems healthly, full of life, nice shiney coat etc. Please could any Weimaraner owners or breeders recommend an alternative diet to try please.

You really should take your puppy to the vet. It is possible that there may be a problem however healthy he may seem he will not be digesting the food you are feeding him enough to be growing, also if he does have a problem eg colitis if it is left untreated this will lead to much larger problems in the future. My motto been best be safe than sorry.

I would agree with Rachel that it is wise to get vets
treatment. But I would make sure my dog was wormed.
As I said in the other reply. Sometimes if a Weim eats something
and it rattles around the stomach it can produce this kind
of prob.
By the way Rachel. Hello I am also Rachel. Great name:D
