Just out of curiosity why Chocolate specifically, and not black or Yellow?

Just curious, as since some chocolate labs have been used in advertising there has been a surge in people wanting this colour.

Unfortunately there are some breeders (I use the term in it's loosest meaning) who are breeding for the saleability of the colour, rather than the general health, temperament, and conformation to standard.

I advise caution, and check that parents have been hip scored and eye tested.

I must admit when I first got Mars 15 years ago chocolates were so difficult to get hold of and now they are everywhere. I had always wanted a chocolate Lab ever since I was a little girl though not just because I thought it was fashionable.

It does worry me as you say Brainless now they have become so popular that they are been bred for the colour and not the health and temperament.

I am sure Mattie will be able to help you out as I am not quite sure which Lab rescue covers Bucks.
