I am thinking about changing my puppy bernese from Nutro large breed puppy food onto Burns Canine Extra. I have been reading a few worrying articles about complete food and Burns is a natural and holistic food. Can anyone please advise and does anyone use this particular brand.

Thanks.

I use the Burns Canine Maintenance and the mini-bites. Both my dogs seem to thrive on it. I know there are several others on the board who use it successfully, and those who've tried it and not got on with it. It's always going to be down to individual dogs as to the best food, but it can't hurt to try it.

Burns is fine but then so is Nutro, Burns I think is made in the UK and Nutro the USA, if you think that makes any difference. Ja:)kie

Hi, if you go onto the Burns site, sorry but I have forgotten their 'address', you can request free samples to see how your dog likes them.

I feed my dog on Burns and have just changed my pup from Nutro to Burns and she is fine on it.I meet Mr Burns at DD
on sat.He was telling me that his collie was a fussy eater.Would go two days with out eating. He said,he ate a lot of fish/chicken/rice and started to give the collie his food and did well on it.So this is how he started out to produce his dog food.Mr Burns is scottish and now living in wales. Not that that makes the food taste any better..Just thought you would like to know.
