Hello - are there any breeders of Border Terrier crossed with Jack Russell on ChampDogs? I appreciate crossbreeds prob aren't on here, which is understandable, but thought I would ask the question just in case. Am exploring my options before deciding on what breed to go for. Any advice welcome. Thank you.

Yes re mixes and this place, but fact is, I'd go for either, but not a mix of both!!  There's no telling what you'd get because apart from that mix, only BYBs do all this messing around with established breeds.

May I ask why u are considering a cross of those two ? Both purebred breeds are nice  little dogs in their own right.  The jack particularly now they have a breed standard imo and not the variations that u would previously see

No crossbreeds can be advertised on Champdogs; and any breeder of pedigree dogs who is also a breeder of crossbreeds will have their membership cancelled.

If by 'Jack Russell' you mean the ubiquitous short-legged farm terrier, they're great ratters but are generally noisy and 'sharp-tempered', especially with other dogs. If you mean the pedigree 'Jack Russell Terrier' they tend to be somewhat more amenable! Border terriers usually make excellent pets as well as capable vermin hunters.

Thanks for your reply - that's helpful. All duly noted.
