I've asked this before but again wonder whether it would be possible to include an addition to the Waiting List here, to incluse people looking for older dogs?   There is no provision for this and I'm sure there needs to be as not everybody will be looking for litters (a puppy)?

Agree absolutely. There must be many potential owners who are experienced with dogs but who feel their circumstances - possibly age or whatever preclude looking for a puppy.  There are surely an equal number of dogs who would benefit from such homes. Of course, such a list could be misused in various ways -not gonna elaborate here but I am sure readers will understand how it could be.

The question has been posed before without a response.
It is a very reasonable idea. Good for the dogs/good for the potential owners. Win /Win.  Bring it on !

It is a very good idea. Not everyone (especially if older) wants to take on a puppy, and some rescues seem quite a lottery.

Which I felt it was worth bringing up again.   I may be interested in having another older Whippet.   I was lucky with Mo because I happened to see his breeder/owner advertising a bitch on a well-known website and as I didn't think Teazel would accept a bitch, approached the retiring breeder to see if she had an older male which she did.  He was a challenge early days, but a sweeter boy would be hard to find.  Another bonus is he carries a line, albeit 5 generations back, to my line.

I hope Admin would look at this idea seriously.

"Is there anybody there , said the..." voices of Champdogs Forum?

My apologies to Walter De La Mare but this seems an apt quote in defence of our requests to Admin on this topic. The silence could be said to be ...deafening.

Also, I recently requested a new password to contact a breeder. A link was sent and it did not work. This has happened before and any new password which  is eventually accepted seems to ...die.  No response to my email informing admin of this. Either we have an admin which is responsive to its loyal members or the forum dies of neglect.
