Yes, I'm the same person who asked about huskies!!!:lol:

I don't think I'm gonna go down the artic breed route, but I'm also interested in lots of other breeds, Iggies being one of them. Not looking to get one anytime soon, but if you have owned one or know one, I'd love to know - what are they really like to live with?!

TIA :)

This is rather a 'specialist breed' and as such I recommend you source, either from here or via the relevant Breed Club, an experienced breeder and go visit.  Most, with a mutually agreeable appointment time, should be prepared to sit with you, show you their adults which you needs to see as puppies grow up fast, and answer all the questions you have.  Breeders are busy people, especially if they show and/or have a litter, so be prepared to be there on time!

Good luck - they are not just small Whippets!!

I know little about them apart from they are rather appealing.
Have u read the info in breeders section her.
Mambas has given u some good ideas and I would definitely speak to the breed clubs. Might be worth going to discover dogs at crufts next month. A great day and you will be able to speak to owners and breeders in the iggy stand

Oooh yes, Discover Dogs at Crufts.  You should be able to meet up with owners/breeders with them there.

beautiful but fragile... I looked into them before getting our current whippet and what put me off was the comments I read about broken legs being a common issue , that and issues with house training...
I decided whippet, similar look but more robust and less breakable. still small enough to be portable.  it depends how active you are though as ours is bone idle, likes her exercise in 10 minute chunks then back to sofa. Ours isn't keen on miles of lead walks.   loves heat, needs a secure place for off lead sprinting (dubious recall so not great in unenclosed places)  the secure fenced place for off lead running is a necessary, ours is very unhappy if doesn't get enough sprinting in
