Topic Dog Boards / Bring and Buy / Teazel's coats and an unused martingale collar
- By MamaBas [gb] Date 11.11.23 10:21 UTC Edited 11.11.23 10:23 UTC
Hi
It's with great sadness I have to offer the late Teazel's 3 coats.   One is an unlined mack, another a quilted warm coat for dry winter weather and the last, a fleece lined waterproof for the worst of UK winter weather.  I've not yet measured them but think they are all 15".    I have recently washed them.

If anybody would like them (and I'd love to think they are keeping another Whippet warm/dry) please get in touch.  Obviously I can mail them.

The martingale is black which I realise won't be liked by all, but it's a back up collar and suited her blue brindle markings.

That's such a nice thing to do, and does help honour Teazels memory I think. if you don't get any takers on here your local rescue will be delighted to have them I'm sure, I often take old coats, collars, bowls etc to a local rescues and they are always much appreciated.

Thanks Chaumsong.  I may well take them into my vet who have connections with the local Shelters/Rescue etc. if I don't get any takers elsewhere.  I'd love for them to be used again.  They are in good condition.  I was going to hang onto them in the event we take on another older Whippet, but that doesn't look like happening now.

How about breed rescue rather than a general rescue then you know they will  go to a deserving whippet

You are right FF.  I may contact the local Breed Rescue down here, tomorrow.   I was going to send them to Teazel's breeder until she got snarky with me when I didn't rush into taking one she put me in touch with, until I'd slept on it.  When I decided that bitch wasn't old enough (she was only 5 and would probably have outlived us given for how long Whippets tend to live!).  When I told her, she said it was a pity I'd not thought it through first .... this was barely 24 hours after we had to have Teazel given peace   People!
