Topic Dog Boards / Health / boosters?

Just read this on my vets f/b page - presumably accurate?

We are currently only able to source very limited numbers of dog vaccines.  In order to make sure that those animals who are at highest risk (puppies and those whose vaccines have lapsed) can receive their vaccines, we are currently having to delay all dog adult boosters until 12 weeks after they are due.

Presumably so; we've only just started getting a trickle of cat vaccines after 4 months without any, because the vaccine companies had been concentrating on making Covid vaccines. I guess now they're trying to catch up with the supplies for cats at the expense of dogs.

The bit from vets stated more or less the same for cats as they said about the dog boosters

Plenty of people only use vaccines for their puppies and perhaps the one year booster. I guess the dogs whose boosters are delayed will not be at any worse disadvantage than those whose owners elect not to have any more boosters.
