Hi, my dog vomited on the carpet at the top if the stairs & I'm having trouble eliminating the smell.
I've cleaned it twice with soapy water but the lingering smell is still there as you come up the stairs.
Tried rubbing talcum powder into the carpet & spraying with Febreze but nothing has worked.
Does anyone know what will definitely get rid of the smell please?
Thanks.

P@H  Anti bacterial Stain and Odour remover spray (dark blue bottle) I find effective.

Simple Solution is great at removing any organic stains and smells.

Use ordinary washing powder.  Make sure it's Bio.  It neutralizes urine smells, so give it a try.  I use Lidl's own make.  Formil Bio.

agree bio laundry liquid is the best for removing smell- test in hidden corner first in case your carpet is not colour fast.
