My unplanned litter are currently causing me no issues
I have relaxed somewhat, they are now toileting in grow trays 90% of the time with minimal accidents. They have free run of the upstairs and have a garden break once a day weather dependent.
They have so far had 2 rounds of Panacur and no adverse reactions
They have teeth and know it!
They are eating 2 x scoops of TOTW puppy and 1 x 390g naturediet puppy @ 4 times a day (7am, 12pm, 6pm and 11pm) they sleep from midnight to 4am have a feed off mum and then go back to sleep until 7am. Mum only feeds them twice a day now
My only issue is there are 2 that have very slight hernias, less than a 5 pence piece and one that has a fairly noticeable hernia about 1p size but feels empty, full of fluid but able to be completely pushed back without any signs of discomfort. Do I rush a vet check now? Or wait till their 8 week vet check? If surgery is needed on them do you know a rough cost and age they can get the surgery done? Is it dangerous or life threatening and if surgery is not required but an option what are the pros and cons of operating over leaving it
PS so far this litter of unplanned terrors has cost me over £1700, that's without any health tests being done and stud fees
Note to anyone thinking breeding is a career choice its expensive physically and financially!!
