Hi I am new to the site. I think am here on abit of a long shot but here it goes.

Firstly i will get the sad news out the way. I lost my beloved labrador Sam this week to a rare type of stomach cancer. She was 9 10 come this April. We are devastated to say the least as we only found out at the start of December.

My big question is would it be possible to find a descendant of her from the likes of a siblings if they had a litters an so on etc. I have the family tree but it only gives me mum and dad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks
Joel

My goodness Joel, I am so so sorry for your loss and send you kindly thoughts as you grieve.

I totally understand your need to find Sam's descendants and all I can advise is getting onto
the Kennel Club UK site armed with her KC Registered Name & Number alongside those of her
parentage.

No guarantees but perhaps by using the site's information, you could track back
further than her parents within the 'look up a dog' page.  Good Luck X

Thanks for your reply and thoughts Hoggie.

It's a pure stab in the dark. I am going to give them a call tomorrow, I also have the information for the people who we purchased my sam from in 2011. I found them on here an have messaged, i am just waiting to see if they are still active on here .
Many thanks

Joel, if you go online to the KC website and put in your dog's KC name into the Health Test results finder here: https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/search/health-test-results-finder/

Then you should be able to scroll down and click on the names of the parents of your dog and then on the litters they have had and find the siblings of your dog - and so on and if they have had any litters and so on. Try googling the names of the dogs as if they have been in any competitions or shows they may come up online in results and enable you to get in touch with owners...

Thanks for the help guys. I have done a bit of digging on the kc site. An have found one sister to have had a litter in 2016 but that's as close as I can get to 2021. A lovely member has offered to help dig abit further.

Really tho greatly appreciated.

The breeder themselves may be able to help, and may be able to get you in touch with the Dad's owner.

Between them they may be able to get you to a relative.

The 2016 born ones would still be of breeding age.
