Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Saliva testing ?

I’ve ordered a saliva testing scope, does anyone have any tips and also what days you saw ferning ?

My bitch (she’s had 1 previous litter 16months ago) is day 11 today and flagging, tail to the side but soon as the stud grabs her and she ‘feels’ him about to enter she flips around than runs off being all flirty. Stud (experienced) is at times making a half hearted effort... wondering if it’s too early?

Any tips appreciated x

Too early, she's just teasing.

Proven bitches are usually less missish second time around.

Saliva testing isn't reliable or scientific - don't go by that.

Cytology and progesterone are the only reliable methods for giving you any idea where you are....
