As I’m sure many of you know the KC is in a real mess at present with many breeders not being able to register litters before eight weeks due to the change of website and backlog.

Does anyone know if I can still activate the puppy insurance for my litter even though they have not yet been registered? I thought with my past litters I needed to have their KC names which I obviously haven’t got yet.

The KC insurance is underwritten by agria and I believe you can do it directly with them. I think petplan also offer free 4/5 week puppy insurance too.

ETA: yes you can do it before they are registered. I did with mine.

I've always used the free PetPlan insurance for my litters. It's easy to do online and I think it is better coverage and nicer for puppy buyers.
