Hi; My name is David and I'm soon going to be moving into a special flat by myself and losing my Lhso apso (Elise) to my Ex. I need to have a companion animal or I'll lose the plot. I've had a Tibetan Spaniel, a Shih Tzu, and the Lhso apso......I'm not overly fond of the Pekinese, so I would most likely be looking for a Shih Tzu or Tibetan Spaniel. I would like to have a female pup and most likely a shih tzu. I cant drive so I don't know how I would be able to chose the pup,or get it when the correct amount of time has passed before being allowed to pick up the pup.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatfully received, as would any contact info.
                                                                                                                        Thanks in advance,
                                                                                                                                                    David

Hi David. A lot of changes ahead for u
It isnt going to be easy to find a puppy atm as many of.the responsibility breeders have stopped breeding due to.covid restrictions amd those pups that are around are at very high prices and often not well bred
I suggest u contact breeders direct from the breeder section  here  and find one you like after explaining your situation. Male sure they fully health test . Breed clubs could be another place to contact
U will have to consider what u can offer a pup particularly if your situation makes it more difficult.
As for seeing a litter which is very important perhaps.you have friends who could help you? Please don't agree to purchase a pup without seeing it and at least mum in person
. Any breeder prepared to do that isn't one I would want to buy a pup.from . U may have to travel
Have u considered rescue ? An older dog may suit u very well as its character is already formed and a puppy  can be very challenging even if fun
It may take some months so don't loose the plot in the meanwhile:)

Hello David, popping in to say Hi, I joined a week ago and so far so good. Sadly, I've no tips or advice but I do wish you well - keep safe.
