Hi all,
We have an 11 week old springer spaniel who is doing really well but we are having a few issues at night. Initially we slept down stairs with him but have been coming downstairs to him if he cries out for the last week. He can go from 11pm-4.30am most nights, out for the toilet then back in his crate. For my husband he settles really quickly but for me he fusses, cries and struggles to settle. I don’t put the light on and try to be really boring and don’t go to him straight away. Is there anything I should try to help him settle for me? Does 11pm-4.30am sound ok for his sleep or should he be trying to go longer?
Thanks

Can anyone help?

We had a trainer in yesterday who has said that he probably settles better for my husband as he's with him most of the time. We have also changed his crate a little and he is going in it voluntarily which he wasn't doing 2 days ago. Thing are going in the right direction. Thanks

Thanks for the update. It sounds like you are doing everything I would do anyway. It can take time but you will get there in the end. Enjoy your puppy. They are babies for such a short time.
