Have never had a Bedlington but always liked the look of them

Ditto it's one of the few terriers I have fancied the others being Border and Norfolk/Norwich.

To the Original posyer; have you contacted your breeder for leads.

Also I would contact the breed club/s for breeder details, and get on a waiting list of one you feel comfortable with.

A litter will be planned around a yesr befor puppies would be ready for homing.

First updating/doing health testing waiting for the season. From then it will be 2 weeks until mating, 9 weeks to biryh, then 8 weeks until homing.

I am hoping for a puppy and the bitch finally came in season a month later than expected, and if all goes well I might have a puppy in February!

I have been on the waiting list since March.

Thank you for all of above, i currently have a 3 year old Bedlington. We recently lost our old girl a collie and the little boy is not happy being a spoilt only child. We go to a kennel club training class that we have attended for around 4 years and nobody knows anyone which is why i joined he. I have been looking for so long now.

I'd contact your boy's breeder and the Bedlington Breed club/s.

That is the best place to go for respectable breeders.

You may even find they know of an older one needing re-homing, as good breeders will always help with homing any dogs they have bred should circumstances change.

For a planned litter expect to wait 6 months plus, as from season to homing takes almost 5 months, and plans and waiting lists will be started before that.

Otherwise your relying on a cancellation, or larger litter for a pup sooner.

This is the reason Puppy farmers and dealers of poorly bred pups thrive, as people are impatient.

A carefully bred pup with the best chance of a long healthy life, and sound temperament is worth waiting for.
