Can anyone help me? We took our male Bordeaux for his hip score yesterday. He seemed fine when we brought him home last night though a bit drowsey which we expected.
However today he is just not himself. He is sitting out in his run and not moving around alot. We brought him in and he just wanted fusiing but could not seem to get comfortable.
Normally in bad weather his snuggles up with "his bitch" in the kennel/stable conversion but today he just wanted to be outside???
Spoke to the vets and they said he could be a bit sore from the X-rays due to the positions his legs would have been pulled into or it could still be the after effects of the aneashetic.
Has anyone else experienced this before after hip-scoring?? Am starting to think I wish I had not put him through it but want to get things done correctly.

I had exactly the same thing with my male rottie last year
I paid extra for the light aneashetic (sp) but for a few days he just wasnt himself really ..as if he was still slightly sedated...slow and just under the weather...ell after a few days he was as right as rain and playing me up again :-)
Try not to worry to much..which is hard to do i know :-)

Claude had Rappinevet which the vets stated was the quick recovery aneashetic too.
Just seems so strange to see him like this :-(

He will be uncomfortable as they have manipulate the legs to get the X ray right almost I believe like a froggy impression he will be feeling a bit sorry for himself.
Dont worry he will soon be back to normal hope he gets a good score then it will be worth it :)
