I wonder if any one can help me - or have similar problems. My oldest springer aged 6 years has for the past few years had feet problems. He licks them, mainly the back feet are the problem. They seem to blister and the skin of the pad literally peels away. One back foot has peeled this morning. He visited my previous vet on various occasions and we resorted to using prednisolone. Up until now he has managed on a low dose and I was actually considering taking him off the dose. But the problem has flared up again and so now will have to increase the dose again. This is the first time it has flared up while on the tablets, before it happened while having a period off them. I have tried various food trials to see if it is food related but to no avail. He has also been tested for pemphigus but this proved negative. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
