Hi has anyone had any problems with lifting Endorsements of your pedigree. I told Endorsements would be lifted after all health tests completed with good results. I now can’t get breeder to answer landline and has changed his mobile number. I have wrote twice with sending photos copies of results. The k c is looking into in for me . my puppies will be born in 3 weeks. just don’t know what to think now. seams to be taking forever to get sorted out. has anyone else had any problems and what was the outcome?

My take on it would be do the required tests then ask for the lift of the endorsement, then breed when the bitch(in this case) next comes in season.
I take it you must have mated your bitch before the endorsement has been lifted, which goes against the purpose of an endorsement..in my opinion.

Why did you mate your girl before the endorsements had been lifted?
If the breeder is now unwilling to lift them providing you have met the agreed apon conditions you signed to you may be able to get the kc to lift them against the breeders wishes however this may take some time to get all sorted meaning you may not be able to register this litter before they are ready to leave.

You should have had the endorsements lifted first.  What is the point of someone placing endorsements on a dog, if you then breed the dog before they have agreed to lift them??

One of the conditions for lifting endorsements in my contract of sale is that the owner will work with me to identify a suitable stud dog/bitch when planning a litter.  If your contract of sale has similar wording then you may be disappointed, you really should have waited to contact the breeder of your bitch, and worked with the KC before having her mated.

When I bred in my contract it stated if you bred the bitch then tried to get the endorsements lifted I would not, to get them lifted I wanted to see the bitch at two years of ago with proof of health tests done( they where stated in the contract) and make sure she was of a quality to be bred from as in making the breed standard both physically and conformation wise and would also help them find a list of decent studs of various travelling distances.

All this was stated in the contract and it also stated they had been made aware of this which we both signed and dated if they were not prepared to do this they did not get one looking after the future welfare of the puppy was more important than the sale

I'd totally agree with the answers here - the whole point of adding endorsements to immature puppies is to prevent any puppies they may produce from being able to be KC Registered - it 'should' prevent an owner from mating the bitch before the endorsement is lifted but all too often that isn't the case, even if endorsements show 'intent'.   Yes the KC may do the lifting but that makes me flippin' mad if they do.   Good breeders who care about their breed and bloodlines, use endorsements for good reason!   And if I'd been faced with this, I'd have wanted to be involved in the choice of stud dog used too!

I think, with all due respect, you are shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted!!   Endorsements lifted - THEN do the mating with the help re the stud dog, or the breeder of the bitch.
