Hi there
We have a lovely litter but two are lighter so I’ve been trying to ensure they get best milk , but one keeps getting milk out of his nose, I know it may be greed, but it sounds like bubbles a little when sleeping, should I be concerned?

Have you checked for cleft palate?
Yes it’s all clear, with a beauty spot which I thought was a hole until I Tripple checked c
Sometimes clefts can be very small or difficult to see and easily missed...
I’m going the vets for 7 tomorrow just air on the side of caution :) x

I'd get the puppy checked by a qualified vet. But after a disasterous whelping, when we picked up the litter (after the needed C.Section was FINALLY done) one had milk coming down his nose. The staff had been bottle-feeding the survivors which frankly wasn't needed - what they needed was rest and warmth and mum, after their traumatic arrival into the world. Despite our best efforts when we got the litter and mum home, he didn't survive. The milk had gone into his lungs, basically. He did not have a cleft palate.

How did you get on?
It appears we have a very greedy pup, even bottle feeding was too much so we waited till all the forgets had fed and then put the pup on mum to feed, she’s not bloated or has milk out of her nose, thAnkyou for people’s advise xxx
