How long does it take for sperm to be replenished after a slip mating or an error when he dies t even make it into her?

I'm not a vet or expert in such matters, but I don't see there'd be any difference in the life of sperm, whether or not there's a tie, or just a slip mating.   Or replenishment time.  As long as there's penetration, the sperm should get there - we had one boy who never achieved a tie and with him, we'd upend the bitch after dismounting to encourage what was deposited, to get where needed.    He only missed to one bitch and she came back to our other male (tie) on her next season but missed again to him.   She then went to another stud dog, and that too wasn't successful.   Clearly not the fault of the studs withher.

You can try again the next day, although it depends on the dog as to how rapidly he can re-make it.  Some are back at 100% 24 hours later, others need 48 hours - but if you didn't get a mating and you might be too late in 2 days, try again the next day.

I once had a visiting bitch mated at 7am.  He then mated one of my own bitches at 7pm (not planned.)

Both bitches had normal size litters no problem.

Thank you we had one 1 1/2 hour tie day 9 then no interest for the next few days. Then day 15,16 a few slipped matings. We’ll have to wait and see what scan shows.

When my boy was collected to be scent abroad they did two collections the same visit. It was a couple hours apart and both times he produced good samples.

One of my boys’ litters he ejaculated on the grass.... then tied about 5 mins later... only one mating, huge litter (which the bitch determines, but no issue with sperm supply clearly).
