Interesting, if frustrating, to read as we lost our Bellman to lymphoma quite a long time ago now, when living within easy travelling distance of Six Mile Bottom - in Bassingbourn, Royston.  He was elderly when diagnosed after I felt a mass in his neck.  His vet (just south of Royston), and we, decided not to opt for any treatment (he was absolutely normal - it was only when I felt the mass that this was diagnosed).   As it was he lived for a further 6 months, free of treatment, before his system crashed and we had to let him go.  In fact by the time this happened, I'd gone into denial because he was so well.   He was 13 years and a month when he died.

Medical science is always moving on, however, so hopefully this will mean that our beloved dogs can overcome such diseases and their owners avoid these sad losses.
